# Attachments

Abuse reports support file attachments. Files are currently attached to a report either by an admin when working on a queued abuse report, or an existing open report, or if the abuse reporting email fetched using IMAP has attachments.

{% hint style="warning" %}
If the Attachments Directory setting is left empty in the Module Settings, attachments will not be saved/stored, will be automatically discarded, and all attachment functionality will be disabled in the module.
{% endhint %}

To use attachments in Abuse Manager Pro:

1. Create an empty directory above your DOCROOT (prefferably one level above public\_html)
2. CHMOD the new directory to 755
3. Copy the full directory path
4. Go to the Module Settings
5. Input the full directory path for the Attachments Directory setting
6. Press Save

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://layerlabs.gitbook.io/abuse-manager-pro/optional-and-advanced/attachments.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
